How and when is your personal data collected by us?
Most of the personal data we process about you comes directly from you, for instance:

· when you express an interest in buying or selling to anyone of us;

· when you attend an AASEA event, exhibition or visit us at our offices.

Personal data collected is used and/or disclosed by us for any one or more of the following purposes:
· to respond to your queries and requests;
· to complete our internal KYC (know your client) verification process;
· to provide you with the services we typically provide through third party organisations associated with us, for instance: our bankers, credit card processing company, art handlers and shippers, artwork conservators, photographers, storage facilities, insurers etc.
· to process any acquisitions and divestments made by you with us, including effecting payment;
· to send you information and marketing materials in relation to artworks and services and those of third party organisations associated with us;
· for marketing research, user profile and statistical analysis;
· complying with applicable laws and regulations, the requests of law enforcement and governmental and tax regulatory officials, or on orders of court;
Where we use and/or disclose personal data to third party organisations, we do so on the basis that these organisations will keep the data confidential and secure, and they will only use the information for the intended purpose(s) they have obtained your personal data from us in the first place.
We do not sell any personal data in our possession to any third party for any purpose.
How long will we keep your personal data?
We will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to provide the services we provide, maintain business records to satisfy tax, legal and other regulatory requirements, and protect and defend against potential legal claims.
In the context of our research and records on ownership of art objects to assist with checks on authenticity, provenance and title, we will keep your data for as long as the record is relevant to our business interest.
