Curatorial projects that Art Agenda, S.E.A. undertake bear an original perspective on art in Asia, with a distinct curatorial approach and art-historical focus on historically overlooked and undervalued 20th-century artists.
In 2017, Art Agenda, S.E.A. produced eight curatorial projects with different partners in five different cities across Asia - Singapore, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City and Taipei - bringing an enlarged profile for modern Southeast Asian art within the larger Asian region. In 2018, we continued this focus on modern Asian art and were involved in a larger scope of curatorial projects, including working with artists' estates, the showcasing of private collections and Ritual + Culture, a curated cross-category auction sale with the international auctioneers Bonhams. In 2019, we brought exciting projects that pushed at the boundaries of what defines modern Asian art, while working with artists' estates and partner galleries and auction house to further our reach.
